Success Workshop, 20 Feb 2010, UK

Patrick’s next workshop on the Principles of Success has been scheduled for 20 February 2010. The event will take place at the Haynes Motor Museum in Somerset.
Participants will learn about the five principles of success and will be given a series of methods and techniques for applying them both to business and to other areas of life.
The understanding and application of these principles is known as Behaviour and Attitude Management™ (B.A.M™). This workshop will give participants an overview of B.A.M.™ and will enable them to put into practice simple techniques that will make a significant and positive difference to their sucess and the success of their business or organisation.

Public Sector Brands Workshop, 27 January 2010, Finland

Later this month Patrick will be giving a workshop on how to develop public sector brands. The workshop is being held in Nivala in the Oulu South region of Finland.
Patrick has extensive experience of developing brands in the public sector through his work with organisations such as the UK National Health Service, The Home Office, The Metropolitan Police, The Department of Education and the Charity Commission.
Patrick said, “The challenges faced by public sector organisations are different in many ways from those faced by private companies, although they are similar in others. This workshop will look at what it means to be a successful public sector brand and at the tools, techniques and approaches required to build a thriving and respected brand in the public sector.”
The workshop is being organised through Oulu Southern Institute who have responsibility for innovation and development within the region.
CIPD Conference Rescheduled to 26 Feb 2010

The date of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) West of England Conference has been rescheduled. It has now been confirmed that the event will take place on Friday 26 February 2010 at the Canalside Conference Centre near Bridgwater.
The event had originally been scheduled for 6 January 2010, but was cancelled due to the severe weather affecting the region.
In his talk Patrick will be looking at the secrets of success and effectiveness in the workplace. He will identify the attitudes, behaviours and qualities that characterise successful people and explain how we can develop these qualities ourselves and instil them in our workforce.
He said, “In these difficult times it is essential that we perform at the top of our game. If we understand the principles of success and implement them in our lives then we can continue to thrive however tough things may be.”
Brunel University Lecture Dates Confirmed

Patrick will be giving three guest lectures at Brunel University this semester on subjects relating to design and marketing. Between them they will cover a wide variety of issues including how to create emotionally engaging designs and marketing campaigns, and designing for people with disabilities.
The dates are:
Wednesday 13 January: Design, Marketing, Trends and Lifestyles
Thursday 18 February: Inclusive Design and Marketing
Tuesday 9 March: Design, Marketing and Emotion
The first two lectures are for design undergraduates and the third for masters students.
