Transport Research Laboratory Academy Talk, 2 August 2011
August 2011

On 2 August Patrick will be giving a talk at the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) on the subject of psychological and social factors in transport and travel.
The talk addresses a variety of issues including the use of public transport and driving safety.
Patrick said, “Research that I have been involved with recently, has shown psychological and social anxieties can be a major barrier to public transportation use for many people. Psychological and social factors are also highly influential in how safety people drive. These kinds of issues need to be properly addressed if we are to develop an integrated transport system that is effective, inclusive and safe.”
Patrick’s talk is part of the TRL Academy seminar series.
