Patrick Jordan has lectured all over the world, giving conference keynote speeches and presentations at corporate events.
He also gives workshops and seminars and is regarded as one of the most effective and entertaining speakers in his field.
Jordan speaks on a wide variety of design, marketing and branding topics. Three of his most popular lectures are described below.
The Four Pleasures.
The Four Pleasures is a framework that Patrick developed for looking at human experience and understanding people.
In order to connect with our customers and achieve market success, we need to provide them with positive, pleasurable experiences. These experiences can come into one of four categories – psychological, physical, social or ideological.
By using the framework to understand people and their needs we can create products that are successful in the marketplace and which are a genuine joy to own and use.
An Innovator’s Guide to the 21st Century.
Patrick has identified eight key trends that are affecting society, the marketplace and consumer behaviour in the first half of the Twenty-First Century.
Each trend is described in depth, along with its implications for design, marketing and branding. Jordan explains how various consumer segments and market sectors are affected differently by each of the trends.
A knowledge of these trends is central both to immediate market success and long-term strategy.
The Dream Economy.
The global economy has gone through different eras. Previously, we have had the Commodity Economy, the Manufacturing Economy, the Service Economy and the Information Economy. Now, Jordan argues, we have the Dream Economy.
People’s purchase choices are increasingly based on their dreams and aspirations. Understanding people, their values, their hopes and their lifestyles is the key to success in the Dream Economy.
Patrick describes a series of techniques to facilitate a deep understanding of customers.
Each of the lectures is illustrated with numerous examples of products, services, brands and marketing campaigns.
Seminars and workshops on the same topics are also available.
